That’s What Friends are For!
Medical imaging exams uncover the possibilities – good or bad. That’s why you play such an important role as a support system for your friend or family member. We make every effort to make our patients' experiences as comfortable as possible, but you provied the greatest comfort of all just by being there for your friend. Thank you for being such a good friend!
At IAC, we have an extensively trained and knowledgeable staff that is available to you. Dr. Bradley Peters is our board certified radiologist who is on site and available to answer questions and put your mind at ease. Our board certified technologists are genuinely caring health care professionals with years of experience and will be with your friend every step of the way.
One of the first things you can do to help your friend is to help him/her be prepared for the exam prior to arriving at the Center. We’ve provided this quick reference list to assist you:
1. Make sure your friend (the patient) has all his/her necessary paperwork
- Driver’s license
- Insurance Card/Medicare Card
- Doctor’s orders
- Films (CDs)/Reports from past medical imaging exams
2. Know what procedure your friend is having and read up on that exam (See Our Services for exam information). Knowing a little something about the exam your friend is having will put their mind at ease.
3. Remind your friend of any prep work that is necessary before the exam (they will have been informed by the referring physician if any prep work is necessary, but it’s always a good idea to double check).
4. If you or your friend has small children, please make other arrangements for their care while you are IAC. We do love children, but we cannot be responsible for their safety or whereabouts during your visit.
5. We do have small lockers for clothing items, however we do strongly suggest that any expensive jewelry be left at home. You might want to suggest that your friend remove any/all jewelry prior to leaving their home.
